Our love for our vendor friends knows no bounds. We are so excited today to share with you our favorite magical Brooklyn venue run by one of our most-loved magical humans, The Pink Moon!
The Pink Moon is a Brooklyn event venue and the creative brainchild of florist, Rebecca Shepherd. (You will often see Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design in our client galleries and blog posts! She was the first florist Amanda worked with in her NYC career! Her work is so incredible!)
Rebecca brought her eye for design into a blank slate with 25 foot ceilings and the industrial exposed-brick vibes of our dreams.
From Rebecca, “I love that there is no other place like The Pink Moon. The space is not small and not large! Our size and high ceilings are my favorite things about the space. And, there is something magical in the air here.”
Truer words were never spoken. Let us take you on a tour through the space and learn more about the incredible events that happen here.
Brooklyn NY Micro-Wedding Venue
The Pink Moon really does boast the perfect size for micro-weddings and mini-monies! (Our new normal, right?!)
The space can accommodate between 48-66 guests with a dance floor or up to 75 guests for a cocktail style party. *Quick note that occupancy is currently limited to 25% due to Covid-19. Full capacity likely to resume in 2021!
From Rebecca, “We love intimate affairs where you actually get to HANG OUT with your favorite people! There is no way to actually hang out with 200 people at a huge wedding.”
We couldn’t agree more!
Bringing the Magic
Not only are you getting a beautiful and unique space, but the design of The Pink Moon is truly magical and sets the tone for a true celebration.
“We have a stunning wall of candles and plants spanning the entire length of the left wall (About 70 feet worth!) showcasing approximately 350 candles! This wall looks gorgeous anytime of the day and can be lite for an additional fee.”
The Pink Moon also provides so many swoon-worthy amenities:
- 8 – 6’x30″ tables + black linens
- 8 – 54″ round tables + black linens
- 50 guest chairs
- 8 cocktail tables & 16 bar stools with chic black linens
- 8′ movable bar with a concrete top
- Movable 3×3′ concrete table that can act as an extended bar, cake table, photo booth display, etc.
- Custom concrete counter top that doubles as a food display, bar, gift table, or dessert spread!
Add on’s for lighting and tabletop rentals are also available. And, of course, you can always ask Rebecca about adding on in-house floral design!
How to Plan Your Micro-Wedding
Wedding planning in 2020 has really thrown us all some curveballs, but we are still here to help you navigate it and make your celebration unforgettable!
The Union Studio will be launching more planning tips & insights for micro-weddings & minimonies soon, but we couldn’t resist asking Rebecca for her advice too!
From Rebecca, “My advice to couples planning a micro-wedding at The Pink Moon would be to use my vendor list! It’s really helpful to have professionals that have worked here, however it’s such a relaxed space that you can also simply provide your own buffet should you choose something super simple. We have had many wedding ceremonies here at the Pink Moon and every single couple walks away being blown away by the beauty of the space and how cool it is to spend the evening celebrating with your favorite people. More advice would be to book soon because we are only taking one event per day. Small spaces are booking faster now that people are not looking for large space and big parties. We are the most unique space because of the ceilings, light and overall natural beauty of the space.”
A Note from Amanda
Rebecca is such a dear friend and a talented creative. I have loved working beside her on so many incredible projects (ahem, we did Anne Hathaway’s engagement party together!) and every time I’m in The Pink Moon, magic is made!
