Lakewood Estate is amazingly close to the city! With only about an hour north, it is more than manageable for couples looking for that Upstate Feeling without organizing a whole caravan of your friends & family.
This venue offers an escape to an untouched, natural setting complete with 3 ponds and 23 rolling and wooded fields of property in the Hudson Valley!
With a sixteen room farmhouse, a honeymoon cottage and a gatehouse on the property you can truly have that weekend wedding experience surrounded by your nearest and dearest. Lakewood is even available for romantic stays during the off-season. Perfect for a quiet little get away from the hustle and bustle.

Greta is incredibly sweet and always adds a personal touch to her service. (And we can never turn down her yummy soups & scones that are magically always ready when we visit!)
The first time we had the pleasure of touring Lakewood Estate with Greta she said something that brought tears to our eyes…
“I want this experience to be just like hosting your wedding at your Grandparent’s homestead. Bring your family pictures to place on the piano and shelves, make it your own.”

What is your favorite feature about the Lakewood Estate Property?
“Breathtaking views of lake, meadows and woods, specimen trees. Gathering for the weekend with our nearest and dearest”
We have to agree! The trees are spectacular! Ceremonies take place in front of a Lakewood Estate is the perfect location for a tented event with a yummy cocktail hour on their sprawling lawn.
Tell us about one of the most memorable wedding you have hosted.
“Josh and Kristine last August. Celebrated on Friday night with a Korean ceremony and a Shabbat Blessing. All families and wedding party stayed on property. Guests enjoyed tennis, kayaking, hiking before the wedding, Sunday Farewell brunch was final gathering!“

What is the most important thing a client should ask when looking for a venue?
“Definitely ask about staff support during the wedding weekend and what client can expect during the process!”
How far out are you booking at the moment?
“Fall 2021“
Anything else you’d like to share with prospective clients?
“Clients visit 3 months prior to their dates to have a brunch tasting and private garden planting. Each couple has a plot in Lakewood Estate Vegetable Garden where they can plant microgreens, herbs, basil. Caterers can infuse for signature cocktail and greens may be used by caterers for weekend meal prep!“
How incredible is that? Imagine being able to include a customized palette of herbs and greens for your wedding day. We are obsessed!
